How to make a double loop connector

A double loop, also called a double eye pin, is used as a link in a piece of jewellery. The loops are attached to each other to form part of the design. Buy yourself inexpensive wire to practice your loops with. What length of wire should I use? It will all depend on the size and number of beads you are using. To be safe, use 3 to 4 inches of wire. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll soon know more or less what length you need for the amount of beads you are using.

What you need
* 20g or 22g wire
* Round nose pliers
* Chain or flat nose pliers
* Side cutters
Step 1
Follow the instructions for making an eye pin. Insert the beads you desire onto the eye pin.
Step 2
Now you are going to make another single loop/eye pin with the rest of the wire that is left. Use your hands and bend the wire 8090
degrees against the bead. Grip the bent wire with your round nose pliers as close to the bead as possible.
Step 3
Wrap the wire clockwise around the prong of the round nose pliers, and cut the wire where it connects using your side or wire cutters. Always protect your eyes when cutting wire.

You will find that you use this basic technique (and variations of it) in lots of different situations. It is not at all hard to do after a little practice.
